English Abstract:In Bangla popular literature, some heroic proper names are found that are suffixed with ‘-da’, which literary refers to a kinship term, “elder brother” (dada>da). The author of this paper discussed the characteristics of these fictional heroic figures and contextualized them in the post-colonial mimic space, where the dominant paradigm was being sabotaged by the imaginary acts of dadas.
